How to Fix 'Invalid Password' Printing Errors
If you’re an HLS student who has tried to print a document in the library or in the Hauser lab, and you’ve received an error message (when you entered your username and password) that says, “You have entered Invalid Patron Password Information,” here’s a little one-time fix-it that should solve your problem:
- Go to https://ldap.law.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/webtools.cgi?operation=password
- When you’re asked for your username and password, enter the same username and password that you use for Blackboard and for HLS e-mail.
- Scroll down to the “New Password” box and enter your Blackboard/e-mail password.
- Re-enter this same password in the box beneath that says “New Password (repeat).”
- Click on the “Submit” button beneath that.
- Make sure that the new screen says, “Password change successful.”
From now on, your username and password for printing at HLS should be the same as the username and password that you use for Blackboard and for HLS e-mail.
