E-Research @ Harvard Libraries
On June 30th, the Harvard University Library launched E-Research @ Harvard Libraries, a new set of tools for locating, accessing, searching, storing and manipulating results from electronic resources, journals and articles on the Harvard Libraries portal. E-Research replaces the former E-Resources menu.
In addition to finding and connecting to resources as you have in the past, E-Research will now allow you to search across multiple resources at once, work within a space of your own, and save sets of journals and resources you use frequently.
The five new E-Research tools or modules are:
- Quick Search, conduct an initial search for articles and books in broad topic areas using pre-selected Quick Sets
- Find E-Resources, find and connect to indexes, encyclopedias, dictionaries, e-book or e-journal collections, and many other electronic resources
- Find E-Journals, find and connect to individual electronic journals
- Cross Search, find and select multiple electronic resources and search them simultaneously
- My Research, a personalized research space comprising four modules: My Citations, save results of your searches, such as links to articles, books, and other items; My E-Resources, save multiple sets of electronic resources for ease of access or to cross search; My E-Journals, save a list of frequently consulted e-journals for quick reference; and Saved Searches, view past saved searches
In order to enjoy the full-functionality of E-Research as well as gain access to most resources, you must log in using your Harvard University ID and PIN number.
