This publication is produced by the Langdell Reference Department on a twice monthly basis. These updates feature topical lists and brief descriptions of interesting, publicly available Web sites. Commercial databases purchased by Harvard Law School Library available only to the HLS community are occasionally featured. An archive of past Notable Internet Resource postings is also available.

The library is pleased to announce its recent subscription to TRACfed. The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) is a data gathering, data research and data distribution organization associated with Syracuse University. TRAC's purpose is to provide with comprehensive information about federal staffing, spending, and the enforcement activities of the federal government. TRACfed provides a wide range of information about federal enforcement activities as well as detailed information about federal staffing, federal funds, and the diverse characteristics of counties, federal districts, and states. TRACfed data is organized into several modules including: Criminal Enforcement, Civil Enforcement, Administrative Enforcement, People & staffing, Money (Federal Funds), and Community Context. The Harvard Law School Library has announced the opening of a new exhibition entitled "The Legal Portrait Project Online." The exhibition is the culmination of an 18-month project to catalog, digitize and make available the law school's 4,000-item portrait collection of lawyers, jurists, and legal thinkers dating from the Middle Ages to the late twentieth century. The exhibition, which is on display in the Caspersen Room of the library, is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until March 31.
