The manuscript collections of the Harvard Law Library fall into three main categories:

The Modern Manuscripts Collection contains the papers of distinguished lawyers, judges, and law professors, as well as documents relating to specific trials and cases. The finding aids for many of these collections are available online through OASIS, a centralized catalog of archival and manuscript finding aids from across Harvard .

The Early Manuscripts Collection is comprised of over 1,100 bound European and Anglo-American law manuscripts.

The English Deeds, Manor Rolls Collection , and Chancery Writs contain over 1,200 separate documents, ranging in date from the twelfth- through the nineteenth- centuries.
