SUMMARY: Letters of Robert Atterton, late mayor of the city of Coventr', Henry Boteler, recorder of the same city, William Stafford, master of the Trynyte Gilde of the same, Richard Braytofte the elder, Edmund Brogrene, John Wilgrice, Thomas Bradmedowe, William Saunders, and John Thrumpton, late mayors of the said city, John Hadley, Thomas Doune, William Horseley, John Seman, and William Thistilton, late sheriffs of the said city, testifying as to the terms of the award of George Burneby, John Hathewyk, Thomas Cotes, and Robert Otur', arbitrators in a dispute between the mayor and commonalty of Coventy and William Briscowe, as to a piece of land beside the new gate of Coventry, between the skinners buttes and the water of Shirburn and common pasture, drained by the said William Briscowe in an action of trespass sued by him against the said mayor and commonalty for entering into the said pieces of land. In which action, the said arbitrators and other personsempannelled made their award that the said William should utterly lose his foresaid action against the mayor and commonalty, and further that certain actions brought by the said William Briscowe against John Wilfice in the King's Bench should be invlidated in the same manner. Deliverd on 1 July, 13 Edward IV.
