A number of tools exist to assist researchers in locating Harvard Law School Library's Special Collections materials. Please note that no one source completely describes our holdings. In addition to online tools, there are several useful print and microfilm sources kept in the Special Collections reading room. If you are unable to locate materials, please contact Special Collections for reference assistance.

Harvard's online finding aid system.

Detailed series descriptions, folder lists, biographies and administrative histories for collections.

The bulk of Special Collections' Modern Manuscript Collections are described here, along with some Art and Visual materials.

All of the Law School Library's paper finding aids are now available on OASIS.

Tip: Use Ctrl + F (on Apple computers use Apple + F ) to search for keywords within individual finding aids.

Descriptive records and images.

A small portion of the Law School's Art and Visual Collection is accessible on VIA; most of these images are part of the Legal Portrait Project.
