- American FactFinder is the U.S. Census Bureau’s online tool for accessing population, economic, geographic and housing information. American FactFinder allows you to browse, search, generate and map data from the Decennial Census, American Community Survey, Puerto Rico Community Survey, Population Estimates Program, Economic Census and Annual Economic Surveys.
- CESSDA
- CESSDA, the Council of European Social Science Data Archives, promotes the acquisition, archiving and distribution of electronic data for social science teaching and research in Europe. CESSDA provides access to datasets from 12 social science data archives across Europe, including sociological surveys, election studies, longitudinal studies, opinion polls, and census data. Among the materials are international and European data such as the European Social Survey, the Eurobarometers, and the International Social Survey Programme.
- Data.gov
- Data.gov provides access to high value, machine readable datasets generated by the Executive Branch of the Federal Government, including descriptions of the Federal datasets (metadata), information about how to access the datasets, and tools that leverage government datasets.
- Eurostat
- Eurostat is the statistical agency for the EU. The site provides access to data (monthly, quarterly, and annual data) from 1960 onwards. Topics include: general statistics, regional statistics, economy and finance, population and social conditions, industry, services and transport, and intra- extra-EU trade statistics.
- FedStats
- FedStats, maintained by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy, provides easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by more than 70 U.S. federal agencies.

- Frequently Used Sites Related to U.S. Federal Government Information, produced by the Vanderbilt University Library Government Information Services, provides listings of data resources organized into several broad topical areas.
- ICPSR
- The ICPSR, Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, maintains and provides access to a vast archive of social science data for research and instruction. All ICPSR datasets at Harvard University are maintained by the IQSS Dataverse Network. (Harvard University ID and PIN required).

- The Internet Crossroads in Social Science Data, produced by the Data and Program Library Service at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, provides annotated listings of data resources organized into several broad topical areas.
- IQSS Dataverse Network
- The IQSS Dataverse Network is the principal repository of quantitative social science data at Harvard University and includes data from the ICPSR, the Roper Center, the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Archives and the Murray Research Archive. (Harvard University ID and PIN required.)

- OECD Statistics from A to Z provides access to economic statistics from across the OECD covering a broad range of economic and social issues.
- Proquest Statistical Insight
- Proquest Statistical Insight provides indexes and abstracts of the statistical content of selected publications of U.S. federal and state agencies, non-governmental associations, commercial publishers, universities, and international, research and business organizations. - UNdata
- UNdata, a service of the United Nations Statistics Division, provides access to major UN statistical databases, as well as those of several other international organizations.
- WolframAlpha
- WolframAlpha is a "computational" search engine allowing you to locate data by doing dynamic computations based on a collection of built-in data, algorithms and methods. WolframAlpha strives "to collect and curate all objective data; implement every known model, method, and algorithm; and make it possible to compute whatever can be computed about anything."
