Following today's announcement that Drew Gilpin Faust has been appointed the 28th president of Harvard University, Law School Dean Elena Kagan released the following statement:
"I congratulate my friend and colleague Drew Faust on her appointment as president of Harvard University. Drew is a gifted leader, superb scholar, and splendid person, who will bring great strengths to the presidency. I look forward to working closely with her on the opportunities and challenges facing both the Law School and the rest of the University.
