Students raise more than $145,000 in public interest auction

April 18, 2008

On April 10th, Harvard Law School held its 15th Annual Public Interest Auction. Auctioneers Dean Elena Kagan ’86 and Professor Jonathan Zittrain ’95 embraced this year’s auction theme, donning hard hats as they fielded bids on items ranged from whitewater rafting in Maine to a poker night with the dean.

The event -- which featured 292 items in the silent and live auctions -- raised over $145,000 for the Summer Public Interest Funding awards. The awards provide 1L and 2L students with grants up to $6,500 to support their summer work in public interest.
