Ashish Nanda, faculty chair, Executive Education Program

A select group of 50 leaders from top law firms around the world gathered at HLS Sept. 18-23 for “Leadership in Law Firms,” an intensive course sponsored by Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program. Through case studies, lectures, and classroom and small group discussions, the “Leadership in Law Firms” program allows participants the opportunity to discuss the unique challenges leading law firms face, and to develop the perspectives and skills to be effective law firm leaders. This program features a core team of HLS faculty members: John Coates, Ashish Nanda and David Wilkins ’80. Two HLS alums, Jay O. Rothman ’85, chairman and CEO of Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, and Jon Newby ’86, partner and member of the executive committee at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in Los Angeles, attended this September’s session.
