In 2008, Harvard Law School’s Program on International Financial Systems, Getulio Vargas Foundation, Pontificia Universidad Católica, and Escuela de Graduados en Administración y Dirección de Empresas of Tecnologico de Monterrey are hosted the inaugural Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century: A Dialogue Between Latin America and the United States.
Based on the PIFS model, the event fostered an interchange of ideas and information between Latin America and U.S. financial and business experts about financial, economic and regulatory topics affecting both markets. Keynote speakers from the U.S. Treasury and other U.S. government agencies and their Latin American counterparts, as well as prominent business leaders, will be invited to deliver keynote addresses to participants.
