Corporate Law Professors Honored
Post date: May 24, 2004

Articles by Professors Lucian Bebchuk, John Coates, Guhan Subramanian and Allen Ferrell will be named among the top ten corporate and security law articles of 2003 in an upcoming issue of the Corporate Practice Commentator, a quarterly journal that reprints articles about corporations law. The articles were selected based upon a survey of corporate and securities law teachers across the nation.

The articles selected were, "Does The Evidence Favor State Competition In Corporate Law?" by Bebchuk, Ferrell and Alma Cohen of the National Bureau of Economics Research, published in 90 California Law Review 1775-1821 (2002); and " The Powerful Antitakeover Force of Staggered Boards: Further Findings and a Reply to Symposium Participants" by Bebchuk, Coates and Subramanian, published in 55 Stanford Law Review 885-917 (2002)".

This is the fifth straight year that an article from an HLS professor has been honored, and the forth year in a row that HLS has had multiple selections.
