Admissions

The Program's objective is to select a diverse group of students with the ability and potential for future leadership in the labor movement. Applicants to the Program should have:

• Experience as an officer or staff member of a local, regional or national union.



• The ability to learn in an academic environment.



• Financial sponsorship from his or her union or other source

Students are expected to be in residence for the full term of the Program. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis and candidates will be notified as they are accepted.

We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, geographic regions and variety of union experience. We are committed to the progress of women and minorities in the labor movement and encourage women and minority applicants.

Housing

Accommodations are provided for each participant in comfortable apartments located close to the Harvard campus

Privileges

Each participant has access to many of the University's facilities such as its library system and athletic complexes.

Cost

Tuition, room, books and class materials..............................................................$13,000.00

Additional expenses include transportation to and from Boston, meals, laundry, recreation and incidentals.

Many unions offer scholarships. Contact your union or us for more information.

The 103rd Session of the Harvard Trade Union Program will run for six weeks beginning January 6th - February 14th, 2014
