Michael Frakes

Michael is Assistant Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, where he also serves as the Director of the Law and Economics Program and a Co-Editor of the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies.  At Cornell, Michael teaches courses in Health Law, Torts and Law and Economics.  He is also a member of the University’s Field of Economics. While a fellow at the Center, Michael conducted extensive empirical research on the relationship between physician practices and medical malpractice law, extending research that he began at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Ph.D. in Economics in 2009.
