Funded Faculty Research

Part of the core mission of the Petrie-Flom Center is to sponsor research on significant issues of health law policy, biotechnology and bioethics. The Center is pleased to announce that it will fund research projects for the following three faculty members for health law related research undertaken during the summer of 2007:

Einer Elhauge, How Best to Regulate the Re-engineering of Humans

Mark Ramseyer, Regulation of the Japanese Health Care Industry

Elizabeth Warren, Medical Bankruptcy: Get Sick and Go Broke

During the summer of 2006, the Center provided funding to three Harvard Law School faculty members to support their work in these areas:

William Fisher, Drugs, Law and the Health Crisis in the Developing World

David Rosenberg, Improving Medical Malpractice Liability by Allowing the Insurers to Take Charge
Elizabeth Warren, Medical Bankruptcy: Get Sick and Go Broke
