Steve Epstein is a corporate partner resident in Fried Frank's New York office. He joined the firm as a partner in 2010. Mr. Epstein has a diverse transactional practice which includes strategic mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He has represented both public and private companies, investment banking firms and financial sponsors in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, takeover preparedness, and corporate governance matters. He also has significant experience in unsolicited M&A transactions, representing clients in both offensive and defensive situations. Previously, Mr. Epstein was an investment banker at Credit Suisse. In this position, he advised companies in a variety of transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, PIPEs, private placements, and M&A opportunities.

Samrat Khichi

Catalent Pharma Solutions

Samrat Khichi has served as senior vice president and general counsel, chief compliance officer, and secretary of Catalent Pharma Solutions since October 2007. In 2010, he was also named the company’s chief administrative officer. Before joining Catalent, Mr. Khichi was counsel in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Group at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. Prior to O’Melveny & Myers, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as a White House fellow. Prior to the White House fellowship, Mr. Khichi was an attorney in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups of Shearman & Sterling and McDermott Will & Emery. Mr. Khichi also served as the general counsel and chief administrative officer of a software company. Mr. Khichi has an extensive background in the military, including serving as an active duty field artillery officer in the U.S. Army, and as a reserve lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Office of Naval Intelligence.
