Charlotte Houghteling represents individuals and companies involved in art and fashion, employees and investors in FINRA and AAA arbitrations, individuals and institutions in commercial litigation, and defendants in regulatory matters. She has an extensive background in art and cultural property law. Ms. Houghteling currently represents art and fashion related entities, including an Italian fashion label. She also represents former employees and investors in arbitrations against financial institutions with claims collectively exceeding $60 million.
Prior to Harris Cutler, M s. Houghteling was an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, where her matters included a complex SEC and FINRA subprime mortgage investigation, the successful First Amendment free speech challenge to the Child Online Protection Act, ACLU vs. Mukasey, 534 F.3d 181 (3d. Cir. 2008) and pro bono representation of arts organizations and Holocaust survivors.
