Mr. Martin is an experienced business law practitioner. He maintains an active transactional practice, having led and executed a wide variety of acquisitions, financings and divestitures for both domestic and international clients across many industries and sectors. Mr. Martin also has wide experience in coordinating and directing client service teams, including assuming overall client relationship responsibilities. He also advises clients in the health, life sciences, defense, aeronautics and technology industries, particularly in the areas of regulatory compliance, outsourcing, privacy and procurement. He appears as a leading lawyer in biotechnology law in the last edition of Best Lawyers in Canada as well as in the 2011 edition of the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
Fluently bilingual, Mr. Martin has authored numerous papers in his areas of professional interest, and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and seminars. He has lectured at McGill University and the Université du Québec à Montréal. Mr. Martin received his BA in 1969, and his BCL in 1973, from McGill University. He was called to the Québec Bar in 1975, and became a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1982.
