          Annual General Meeting. Members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting in London, which will be held this year on Tuesday, 7 July, just before the beginning of the 19th British Legal History Conference. The meeting will be followed by a lecture by Mr Anthony Taussig, whose collection of English legal manuscripts was recently catalogued in our Supplementary Series, and by a buffet supper.  Members will have received a notice of the meeting containing further details.  For further information please get in touch with the Secretary at the address listed below:

          The David Yale Prize.  The prize was instituted in 1998 in honour of Mr David Yale, FBA, then President of the Society and formerly Literary Director.  A fund was provided by contributions from various professional bodies, individual members, and other private donors.  The fund remains open for further contributions.  The prize is for an outstanding contribution to the history of the law of England and Wales by a person under the age of 35.  A competition is held in alternate years.   A prize of £1,000 was awarded in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007.  Full details of the prize regulations and of the current competition may be obtained from the Secretary.  .

(1285 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14209–1987; phone: [800]828–7571; FAX: [716]883–8100; email: mail@wshein.com; website: http://www.wshein.com/) has recently placed “on-line” the first 117 volumes of the Main Series of Selden volumes (through 2000), the first 13 volumes of the Supplementary Series (also through 2000), the Centenary Guide, the Statutes of the Realm, the English Reports—Full Reprint, and a selected collection of treatises. The collection is available to libraries and individuals on a subscription basis. Individual members of the Society in good standing may access the Society’s publications free of charge.
