On Tuesday we will complete our discussion of privileges and go on to lay and expert opinion testimony.

For Wednesday, November 24, please read:

We will continue our discussion of expert testimony and will go on to discuss court-appointed experts and proposals for reform in presentation and use of expert testimony.

Additional Assignment - More Computer-Aided Instruction

Please organize yourselves in groups of 3 (4 max.) and perform the Olcott v. Olcott computer-video evidence exercises at the Interactive Video Project, 1 Holmes Hall, between now and Wednesday, December 8. This is an effective and painless way to learn some of the intricacies of the expert witness rule and to test your overall understanding of Evidence. You can sign up for time slots at the workstations in advance. The workstations are open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. This is a required exercise and attendance will be taken. Please get your exercises done early to avoid the last-minute rush!
