Notices: Going Abroad This Summer? Get Your Travel Assistance Program Membership Card
If you will be traveling abroad this summer on HLS business, you should know about Harvard's program for international travel. The International SOS Travel Assistance Program offers "24 hour worldwide emergency medical and evacuation assistance for Harvard's employees and students traveling on University related activities". It is a supplement to (not a substitute for) health insurance and can provide medical information and evacuation, emergency assistance including translation services, legal referrals, and general travel advice, among other things. Further information can be found on the International SOS website.
Harvard students who will receive HLS funding or credit for their activities abroad are automatically included in the university's membership plan but must log in and register their trips. Students who are not traveling on university business but would like to obtain International SOS insurance may do so at a reduced rate.
In order to get a membership card and a summary of program benefits, please contact Sara Zucker by e-mail or phone (5-9030) or drop by Lewis 231.
