Clinical: Research Assistant

Would you like to do research work for the prosecution in counterterrorism and related national security cases? You can by participating in an Independent Clinical project providing research support to the Counterterrorism Section (CTS) of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice.  A few enrollment slots remain open for next year.
Examples of projects on which students worked last year include developing a manual of jury instructions; researching issues arising in the course of investigations and questions of evidence, discovery, and other matters relating to trials; analyzing key anti-terrorism statutes (e.g., regarding laws against aiding and abetting or providing material support to terrorists); revising the procedure and substance for charging certain offences in light of recent changes in case law and legislation; and drafting trial memoranda and appellate briefs.
For information about this Independent Clinical program's purposes, requirements, and types of assignments, please see the 2008-09 CTS-HLS Agreement on the Clinical Programs website. Note that Independent Clinicals are graded Pass/Fail.
To apply, please submit a current resume and transcript to Kim Peterson (kpeterso@law.harvard.edu, or Hauser 206), assistant to Professor David Rosenberg.
