Black History Month

This committee's notable programs include:

  • Kwanzaa Celebration -- Kwanzaa is an African American and Pan-African holiday which celebrates family, community and culture. The name Kwanzaa is derived from the phrase "matunda ya kwanza" which means "first fruits" in Swahili.  Food is a very important part of this holiday celebration and there are many delicious foods and recipes that are shared during the celebration.
