Back in Ghana I was a legal officer at the Legal Resources Centre (LRC), a not-for- profit organization with significant community level human rights initiatives and national level research and advocacy projects. I assisted various communities plan and execute civic and human rights activities. Coming to Harvard is a realization of a long-held dream. I have always thought of Harvard as the dream school to attend. As the first lawyer from my rural village in the Northern region of Ghana I have always desired to be a role model for people especially girls in my village and what better way of do this than by getting to Harvard. The application process I think is a course on its own. I had to block off a whole month of work time to finish the process. I am however grateful to God that I am here. I have not regretted one bit for choosing to come to Harvard. I have stories to tell when I go back home.
