Harvard Law School

Committee on Multi-Cultural Unity

Mission Statement

The Harvard Law School Committee on Multi-Cultural Unity (CMCU) sets forth to engender and encourage genuine, long-term, and meaningful relationships among students representing the wide spectrum of cultures and ideologies present at the School.  The Committee aims to foster understanding and appreciation among students of diverse values, histories, and customs. Through candid dialogue and common experience, the Committee seeks to overcome the indifference and ambivalence that often isolates cultural communities. The Committee’s fundamental goal is to promote the creation of a broad community that embraces diversity as a powerful enhancement of the experience at Harvard Law School and beyond.
