Dear Students,
Welcome to the Couples Association of Harvard Law School! The Harvard Law Couples Association (HCLA) is a social organization for students, their partners and/or their children. Our organization offers many activities over the course of the year to encourage social interaction and provide support for those students who have come to Harvard with partners or families. HLCA has enhanced the law school experience for hundreds of students and non-student partners.
Some of the HLCA activities we have had in the past include apple picking trips, holiday dinner parties, Celtics games, trips to the theater in Boston, and picnics. For those with children, we have a Children's Club that Coordinates monthly play groups in addition to hosting a Halloween party and a spring egg hunt. Our Women's Group holds activities such as gourmet dessert parties, chick flick nights, dinners out, white elephant holiday parties and more. We have even more exciting activities planned for this upcoming year and hope that you will be able to attend!
This year, we will be holding two welcome activities and invite you to attend either or both. Please join us on Thursday, September 18th from 7pm-10pm for a Couples Association kick-off event at the Queen's Head Pub (located on the main campus, close to the law school campus, in the basement of Memorial Hall). We will provide appetizers and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and this event will provide a great socializing opportunity for students and their partners.
Please also join us for our annual Welcome Picnic on Saturday, September 20th from 12pm-2 pm in Hauser Hall on the First Floor. Food will be provided and there will be entertainment for people of all ages. We will also provide information regarding the activities that we have planned in the fall.
