
Sarah Isgur
Hailing from the great state of Texas, Sarah graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in history and political science. During college, Sarah completed her thesis at the London School of Economics on the Americanization of British campaign communication. After serving as a press secretary on Capitol Hill, Sarah became Deputy Director of Congressional Communication for the Federal Aviation Administration. During her summers, Sarah has worked at the Office of Legal Policy at the Department of Justice, Cooper & Kirk LLP, and Wiley Rein LLP, in Washington, DC. As a 3L, Sarah can be found working on the Journal of Law & Public Policy, playing volleyball outside the Hark, or watching old episodes of Arrested Development.

Paul Mezzina
Paul Mezzina is a native of Long Island and a 2005 graduate of Harvard College. At HLS, he is an Editor for the Harvard Law Review. Paul spent last summer working at the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco. He is an avid rower, cyclist, and fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.

Originally from New Berlin, WI, Sheena graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in 2005 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and a minor in Economics. At Duke she was president of the mechanical engineering honor society, Pi Tau Sigma, and was actively involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity. During her summers, Sheena worked at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee. During her 3L year, she will spend her time working as an Executive Editor on the Journal of Law & Public Policy, watching Green Bay Packer football (when it is broadcast in Massachusetts!), and planning her May wedding.

Jennie Bradley
Jennie was raised on wholesome Midwest values and Fighting Irish football in South Bend, IN. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame in 2004 with degrees in philosophy and theology. Before coming to law school she spent a year working in DC, and a year abroad in "the other Cambridge," taking an MPhil in Theology. After 1L year, she returned to DC to split the summer between the Office of Legal Policy and the Solicitor General's office. At HLS Jennie is an Assistant Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and is involved in Harvard Defenders, the Abigail Adams Society, and the Society for Law, Life, and Religion.

Max Amster
Maximillian Amster spent his tender years in Stamford, Connecticut, but has called Vero Beach, Florida his home since 1991. Max attended The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida before earning his B.A. in Economics at the University of Texas in Austin. After graduating, Max lived in New York City for a year. At HLS, he is a senior editor and a member of the articles board for the Journal of Law & Public Policy. Max is an avid football and basketball fan, a thoroughly mediocre basketball player, and a fisherman whenever possible.

Mike McGinley
Mike McGinley is a native of Reading, Pennsylvania and a 2006 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. At HLS, he is an Assistant Articles Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy and a member of the Catholic Law Students Association. Last summer, Mike worked for Bancroft Associates, in Washington, D.C. Mike is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, who has yet to experience the joy of a championship season.

Alex del Nido
Born in Canada, Alex's family moved to the suburbs of Boston in the mid 1990's, and he hasn't left Beantown since. He received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006, where in his "spare time" he directed an a cappella singing group and helped coach a high school policy debate team. In addition to the Federalist Society, Alex is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, as well as an Undergraduate Tutor in Harvard College's Mather House. He spent the summer of 2007 working (and getting a tan) at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida in Miami.

Stephanie Cebulski
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Stephanie graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a B.A. in Political Science. She then moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked at the American Enterprise Institute, the Bush/Cheney 2000 campaign, and then the White House before entering HLS in the Fall of 2006. At HLS, Stephanie is a senior editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy. She also captains an amazing HLS intramural volleyball team and goes salsa dancing whenever she can.

Justin Walker
Justin's hometown is Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in 2004, he wrote speeches at the Pentagon for the Secretary of Defense. The happiest day of his life was when he married Anne Browning, and the second happiest will be when his Chicago Cubs win the World Series.

Steve Sorkin
Steve is a resident of Fair Lawn, NJ. Steve graduated summa cum laude, Tau Beta Pi, and Phi Beta Kappa from Lehigh University with a degree in Computer Engineering in 2006. In addition to the Federalist Society, Steve is also involved with JLSA and the Journal of Law and Public Policy. During the summer of 2007, he worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York. He enjoys reading, golfing, and chess.

Sajid Sharif
Sajid graduated cum laude from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering. Sajid lived overseas for 14 years in Egypt, Malaysia, India, and Bangladesh, and now lives in Montgomery, Texas. He split the 2007 summer between Fulbright & Jaworski LLP and Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP, both in Houston, Texas.

Chris Thomas
A proud Ohioan, Chris graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University in 2006, majoring in History, Political Science and Economics. At HLS Chris also serves as a Deputy Managing Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and as Vice President of Events of the HLS Republicans. Last summer he worked in the Cleveland office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. More importantly, Chris is a devoted fan of all Cleveland sports.

Michael Perry
Michael Perry attended Brigham Young University where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in History and was named the History Department Valedictorian. Michael took two years off during his time at BYU to serve as a missionary in Moscow, Russia, and he also spent a semester in Washington D.C. as a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. Michael spent his 1L summer at the Hale and Dorr Legal Services Center in Boston and is currently a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. An Eagle Scout, Michael enjoys camping, hiking, cycling, and traveling, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie.

Debbie Whitlark
Debbie Whitlark graduated summa cum laude from University of North Texas, having majored in criminal justice. She spent her 1L summer in the criminal division of the Maryland U.S. Attorney's Office, and at HLS, she is a senior editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Though she lives in Massachusetts and spends every free weekend in D.C., she remains a Texan and looks forward to returning one day and rediscovering the sun.

J. B. Tarter
J.B. Tarter received his B.A. summa cum laude from Emory University with majors in political science, history, and economics. Also from Emory, he earned a M.A. in Political Science, focusing on gubernatorial veto powers in American states. When not Federalizing, J.B. serves as a senior editor and is on the Articles Board of the Journal of Law and Public Policy, is Vice-President for National Campaigns of the HLS Republicans, and is the Events Chair of the National Security & Law Association. In his life before law school, J.B. worked for Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) and Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) as well as for The Heritage Foundation. Born in Texas and raised in Idaho, J.B.'s hobbies include target shooting and cooking.

Jiabei Chen
Jiabei Chen is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Political Science and Finance. As an undergrad, she was actively involved in politics, coached debate in inner city high schools, and worked as a bankruptcy clerk at the US Attorney's office for the district of Minnesota. During her 1L summer, Jiabei worked at Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis. At HLS, she is a senior editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and finance co-chair for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Chris Catizone
Christopher is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard College, where he majored in Government and wrote his thesis on Alexis de Tocqueville. At HLS, he is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and a "Big" in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program. When not away at school, Chris spends his time at home in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he attended Saint Viator High School. He is a marathon runner and an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago Bulls, and any team playing the Cubs.

Alison Rone
A native of the "other" and indubitably better Washington, Allison Rone graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 2006 with a degree in economics and substantial coursework in Scandinavian studies. Although she has spent the past five years on the East Coast, she still cheers for the Seattle Mariners and can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle's Best, and most other brands of coffee. During college, Allison was vice president of her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and worked for a peer counseling group called Room 13. At HLS, she is a senior editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, president of the Abigail Adams Society (formerly known as the Alliance for Independent Feminists), and a teaching fellow in the economics department. Last summer, Allison worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Seattle and competed in the Miss Washington Pageant.

April Ward
Originally from a town you've never heard of in the great state of Texas, April graduated summa cum laude from Abilene Christian University where she majored in Integrated Marketing Communications. She serves as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy, and is also involved in the Texas Club and Abigail Adams Society. Last summer, she worked for the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Policy and completed the Blackstone Fellowship. April enjoys playing intramural volleyball, finding the best coffee in Cambridge, and spending time with her husband.

Nicole Valco
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Nicole graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 2005, where she majored in History and minored in Government. At HLS, she is an Executive Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy, and is also involved in the California Club, HL Central, and One Day's Work. During her 1L summer, she worked for the Department of Justice's Commercial Litigation division, and is spending her 2L summer at the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins. Nicole enjoys golf, Giants baseball, and BBQs, and plans to spend every sunny afternoon on the sand volleyball courts outside of the Hark.

Meika Vogel
Originally from Orange City, Iowa, Meika graduated summa cum laude in 2006 from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota where she majored in Political Science and Writing and minored in Psychology. In addition to the Federalist Society, she is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Meika split her 1L summer between the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C. and Fulbright & Jaworski in Minneapolis, MN.

Lucas Walker
Lucas Walker grew up on a dairy farm in Western New York. Leaving the cows behind, he attended Yale University, graduating cum laude with a BA in History. In addition to the Federalist Society, he is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy and Treasurer of the Catholic Law Students Association. He spent the 2007 summer in Buffalo working for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York.

Jeff Garland
Jeff Garland grew up in Maine and Ohio, and went to Williams College. After graduating, he spent two years in England and one year all over the United States before settling down for law school. He is involved with Harvard Defenders and the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, and is a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. He spent last summer working for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
