We need your time. The Harvard Legal Aid Bureau
depends on our dedicated volunteers to help us fulfill our mission to delivery
top quality legal services to low-income members of the Greater Boston
community.
Whether you are interested in volunteering to build
your resume, to give back to the community, satisfy a course requirement, earn
school credits, or just to fill some of your free time; your commitment is a
valuable contribution to the Bureau’s work.
We generally accept volunteers from all walks of life and from diverse
backgrounds, and we have a variety of different opportunities available
depending on your goals and skills: attorney
volunteers, clerical
volunteers, law student
volunteers, undergraduate
volunteers, and volunteer
translators.
Our need for volunteers changes during the year, and it also depends on each
individual’s background, availability, skills, and interests. Volunteers must
be able to commit to a regular schedule, and we expect the same professionalism
from volunteers as from our student attorneys and staff. Please look through
these pages to learn about the work that we do and the potential opportunities
we may have.
