The Harvard National Security Research Committee (NSRC), an affiliate of the Harvard National Security and Law Association, is a nonpartisan organization of students at Harvard Law School and the John F. Kennedy School of Government who are dedicated to undertaking research projects and generating objective written products on the legal and policy dimensions of national security issues.

The working papers and memoranda of the NSRC are the outcome of collaborative research efforts solicited by professors, government entities, and non-governmental organizations.  In recent years, NSRC has performed substantial research and writing on issues ranging from the detention and trial of suspected terrorists and the legality of coercive interrogation tactics to proposed strategies for reducing tacit support for terrorism and the surveillance powers of the U.S. Intelligence Community.  We have worked with a member of Congress, the Department of Defense, think tank researchers, and professors to compile objective and timely studies on pressing issues of security facing the United States and the global community.

The NSRC conducts most of its work under the guidance of faculty advisors at Harvard Law School.  Please contact us [nationalsecurityresearch@gmail.com] if you have questions or wish to solicit our services.
