One Day's Work is a Harvard Law School student organization whose aim is to promote a culture of giving by increasing charitable contributions among young professionals. We are asking our fellow students as well as colleagues from other schools across the country to commit to contributing the equivalent of One Day's Work to a charitable cause this summer.
We do not advocate any specific charitable cause or organization, and hope this can be a forum for students of all interests and persuasions to find an avenue for giving. Our aim to is to make giving second nature, and toward that end we have tried to simplify by the process by affiliating with a few noteworthy charitable organizations. We make every effort to assure the dependability and fiscal responsibility of all the charities with which we associate so that the money is efficiently and effectively employed.
We hope you will join us in making One Day's Work a success.

Several of the charities are recommended by GiveWell, an independent charity evaluator that has performed research on developing-world aid and equality of opportunity in the U.S. More about GiveWell.
