HLS Squash Team
Last year saw the HLS Squash Team's active membership expand and our interscholastic competition increased. We currently have more than 40 Law School students participating in our full-year intramural ladder competition. The Team plays tournaments against teams from the Kennedy School of Government, School of Public Health, and the Graduate School of Education. About one quarter of our ladder participants were non-squash players at the beginning of the year, so newcomers to the sport should feel free to join us. Throughout the year we give hour-long squash lessons to the new players, introducing them to the game with the team's equipment and temporarily lending them racquets to pursue a few games on their own (before they become comfortable enough to buy their own racquets). The team also sponsors several informal social events (happy hours and the like) at which team members can have some fun off the courts.
