The Coalition is made up of Harvard Law students committed to raising awareness about and taking action to stop all forms of gender violence. This year, we hope to plan events and partake in activities on a broad range of subjects including sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, international violence against women, violence against women during wartime and reproductive rights.
What are the Coalition’s goals?
- Educating HLS students about gender violence issues and Training them to deal with such issues in all settings;
- Examining gender violence in both a global and local context through a series of conferences, speakers and advocacy projects;
- Serving as a resource to enable HLS students to work on gender violence issues from a variety of perspectives including through direct legal advocacy, awareness raising, research opportunities and organizing on a local and national level;
- Advocating and raising funds for local, national and international gender violence prevention programs.
