Here are two hypothetical aid package examples to illustrate how we meet demonstrated financial need at Harvard Law School for 2008-2009.

* Remember: Student Financial Services awards a basic financial aid package to meet the level of need demonstrated by the assessed student and parent contributions. It is possible, however, to borrow the entire assessed parent contribution amount through a supplemental education loan program if your parents will not be contributing to your education expenses.
It is also possible to borrow to replace all or a portion of the assessed student contribution, though this kind of borrowing is not eligible for future loan repayment assistance through LIPP.
The upper limit on optional supplemental loan borrowing is the student budget; in other words, your total financial aid cannot exceed your approved budget.
