2008 SPIF Required Materials

SPIF Application

The application for Summer Public Interest Funding was due on December 14, 2007 so we have removed the link to the form. If you applied for SPIF by the December deadline you are eligible for funding. The next step for students eligible to receive funds is to secure summer employment. Those students who are eligible for funding will be notified via email once this form becomes available. If you missed the deadline but still wish to participate in SPIF you must contact the SPIF office directly.

SPIF Response Form

Once you accept a summer public interest job, or decide not to accept a public interest job, you must complete the Response Form. In order to receive funding on May 1, you must submit the online Summer Funding Response Form and the Employer Response Form by April 4, 2008.

Employer Response Form (PDF)

Your employer must complete Part I of the Employer Response Form to verify your employment information. Students who plan to use their SPIF placement for Pro Bono credit must also have their employer complete Part II of the Employer Response Form. The Employer Response Form must be submitted by April 4, 2008 in order to ensure funding for May 1. This form should be sent directly to the SPIF office, Pound Hall 324.

Time Log (PDF)

ALL students receiving SPIF funds must submit a Time Log to verify their total number of hours worked throughout the summer. The Time Log will be available online at the beginning of the summer and is due September 12, 2008. Failure to submit a complete Time Log in September will result in the forfeiture of your entire SPIF award.

Supervisor Evaluation (PDF)

Students who plan to use their SPIF placement for Pro Bono credit must submit the Supervisor Evaluation at the end of the summer. The Supervisor Evaluation will be available online at the beginning of the summer and is due September 12, 2008. If you do not submit the Supervisor Evaluation, you will not receive Pro Bono credit for your summer work.

Student Job Placement Evaluation

At the end of the summer all SPIF recipients are required to complete an evaluation of their placement; this online form is due August 31, 2008. You will receive an email with the link to the online evaluation at the end of the summer. Failure to submit the evaluation will result in the forfeiture of your entire SPIF award.
